The CHEER (City-Human-Environment Ecosystem Research) Lab at Shanghai Jiao Tong University is dedicated to addressing the complex challenges of human settlements in high-density urban environments, particularly in the face of global warming. Our research investigates the intricate interactions within the "City-Human-Environment" ecosystem, with a primary focus on human comfort and health, urban climatology, and climate-adaptive design.

By integrating environmental monitoring, advanced simulation, artificial intelligence, and social surveys, we provide evidence-based strategies for the development of sustainable future cities. The laboratory currently undertakes multiple national-level research projects and maintains close cooperation with top research institutions globally.
